The basic starting point is the triangle with sides 1 ,phi, and the square root of phi
The angle y is 51,8°, which is one of the angles of elevation of the pyramid of Cheops (it is not exactly symmetrical).
The angle y also shows the relation between a square and a circle of the same perimeter, as represented by the labyrinth and square table of the cathedral at Chartres.
To find the radius of the circle, the distance « b » is multiplied by the square root of phi
The square and the circle of the same perimeter provide the geometric framework which contains the earth and the moon.
The height of the square equals the diameter of the earth, or
1 / phi x 212 x 5 Km, or
12 657,6 Km
The diameter of the circle « d » equals the etheric diameter of the moon, or
12 657,6 x (square root of phi)-1,or
3 442,95 Km
Its recognised material diameter is 3 476 Km.
The angle formed by the moon radius « r » is 1/28th of the circumference of the circle, therefore twelve circles of diameter « d » can be conveniently located into the plan to find the mathematically incommensurable angle of the seven pointed star (Fig 37).
The Seven in the Twelve
The divine pattern is the framework which contains everything material and non-material. It therefore determines all aspects of our relative reality ; our senses, motion, space, time.
We find the non-material ordered structure of the seven and the twelve in the harmonic relation between the seven root notes of the twelve note chromatic musical scale (Fig 37). Plato insisted on the importance of sacred music in maintaining the structure of a spiritually developed society.
The « Revelation of John » (see Fig 37).
21.v12« (the new Jerusalem) had a great high wall, with twelve gates, at which were twelve angels ; and on the gates were inscribed the names of the twelve tribes of Israel. There were three gates to the East, three to the North, three to the South and three to the West.’
